From DHA to doorsteps that need it most

There is something powerful about going where the people are. Not waiting for them to find the cause, but bringing the cause to them — on a busy street, in the middle of an ordinary day — and trusting that generosity is never far from the surface.

On 21st February, the directorate conducted an on-ground fundraiser in DHA Phase 3, raising funds for the upcoming annual Ration Drive organized by Next Generation Pakistan. Our volunteers moved through the neighbourhood, speaking with locals, explaining the initiative, and collecting donations that will go directly towards supporting underprivileged families this Ramadan.

The directorate’s decision to take this drive on-ground reflects a broader belief: that awareness and action must go hand in hand. It is not enough to post about a cause — someone has to stand on the street and make it real. Our volunteers did exactly that, and the response from locals was a testament to what happens when a community is simply given the chance to give.

Every rupee collected on this day is already on its way to becoming something tangible — a ration package, a family’s Ramadan, a moment of relief for someone who needed it.

To the residents of DHA Phase 3 who gave so generously, and to the volunteers who made it happen — this was your effort as much as ours. Thank you.
